Description: Stratamed – the advanced film-forming wound dressing.
Indication: Stratamed is indicated to be used immediately after a surgical or cosmetic procedure, on open wounds or compromised skin.
Features: Stratamed is a safe and effective film-forming primary dressing approved for the use on open wounds and compromised skin. It creates an optimal environment for faster wound healing and reduces the inflammatory response. This allows the prevention of abnormal scarring to start earlier than ever before.
Suitable for: Children and people with sensitive skin. Stratamed may be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Dosage: Apply once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas or as advised by your doctor. For best results, Stratamed should maintain continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/ 7 days a week).
Directions: Step 1: Prepare your skin- ensure that the affected skin or superficial wound is clean. Gently pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the area as possible prior to the gel application. Step 2: Apply Stratamed- apply a very thin layer of Stratamed directly to the affected area. Step 3: Without secondary dressing Step 3A: Allow the gel to dry -when applied correctly, Stratamed should be dry in 5–6 minutes. With secondary dressing Step 3B: Cover with secondary dressing- apply a thin layer of Stratamed, then cover with a secondary dressing. Drying is not necessary. Step 4: You are ready to go! Once dry, Stratamed can be covered with clothes, sunscreen or cosmetics.
Extra information: Excess Stratamed on your hands can be easily removed by washing them with liquid soap and warm water. Repeat if necessary. Stratamed may stain clothing if not completely dry. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without damaging the fabric.
Recommended duration of treatment: Stratamed is recommended to be used immediately post procedure until the skin has fully recovered. For resurfacing and ablative procedures, continued use is recommended for a minimum treatment period of 30 days (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) or until no further improvement is seen. For abnormal scar prevention, Stratamed is recommended for a minimum treatment period of 60 – 90 days (24 hours a day / 7 days a week). Larger scars may require a longer treatment. Continued use is recommended until no further improvement is seen.
Caution: For external use only. Stratamed should not be placed in contact with the eyes. Stratamed should not be applied over other skin treatments without the advice of your doctor. Stratamed may stain clothing if not completely dry. Should your wound show signs of infection or fail to heal, consult your doctor. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Not suitable for wet, highly exudative, tunneling wounds or 3rd degree burns. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration (EXP) date printed on the tube.
